Description: During this project, students will learn about the history of puppets, from their origin over 3000 years ago to today. They will learn about various types of puppets, write a short play, and make a rod puppet using makerspace equipment.
Distance Learning: This project includes an in-person learning and distance learning option. The in-person learning option requires a laser cutter/engraver to complete.
Standards: This project applies to a wide variety of subject areas and aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, Florida CPALMS Standards, and Ohio Fine Arts Standards for third grade through fifth grade.
