Passion for Fashion
Upper Elementary School
Description: During this project, students learn how 3D printing is used in the fashion industry. They will create a 3D printed accessory by following a step-by-step design process. They will also learn about the binary number system and make a binary code bracelet. This project was developed in partnership with MakerGirl, a not-for-profit organization that inspires girls to be active in STEM.
Distance Learning: This project includes an in-person learning and distance learning option. The in-person learning option requires a 3D printer to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and Florida CPALMS Standards for third grade through fifth grade.
