Description: During this project, you will learn how architects use a specific type of drawing, called orthographic projections. You will construct a model of a house, draw an orthographic projection of the house, and create a computer-aided design of the house. Then you will use a 3D printer to bring the house to life! This project includes four lessons: Build a House, Draw an Orthographic Projection, Computer-Aided Design, and 3D Printing and takes approximately four hours to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for Mathematics for seventh grade and high school, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for middle school and high school, and Florida CPALMS Standards for high school.
