Overview
Description: During this project, students are introduced to computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing by creating a personalized nametag for a classmate. Students are divided into pairs and interview each other. They use the information they gathered to design and 3D print a unique nametag for their partner. This project includes four lessons and takes approximately three hours to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Next Generation Science Standards, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and Florida CPALMS Standards for third grade through fifth grade.
