Overview
Description: During this project, you will examine fifteen important moments from space exploration history and discuss their significance. You will also learn about the history of jigsaw puzzles, from their origin as “dissected maps” in the 1760’s to today. You will then choose one iconic moment from space exploration history and create a laser cut puzzle that represents that event. This project includes three lessons: Iconic Moments in Space Exploration History, Puzzle Design, and Make a Jigsaw Puzzle. This project takes approximately three hours to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Next Generation Science Standards, and International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for sixth grade through twelfth grade.
