Gear it Up
Engineering, Math, Physics
3D Printer, Laser Cutter/Engraver
Description: During this project, students design, make, and test a simple gear machine. This project takes approximately 10 hours to complete.
Distance Learning: This project includes an in-person learning and a distance learning option. The in-person learning option requires a 3D printer and a laser cutter/engraver to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and Florida CPALMS Standards for ninth grade through twelfth grade.
