Description: Biomimicry is an approach to solve human design challenges by learning from and mimicking strategies found in nature. During this project, students will explore various examples of biomimicry and complete a biomimicry design challenge. This project takes approximately seven hours to complete.
Distance Learning: This project includes an in-person learning and distance learning option. The in-person learning option can be completed using any combination of makerspace equipment.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, Next Generation Science Standards, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and Florida CPALMS Standards for ninth grade through twelfth grade.
