Overview
Description: During this project, you will work as a team to create artifacts that represent the seven characteristics of civilization. Your team will design a motif for the artifacts and use computer-aided design & 3D printing to bring the artifacts to life. You will also learn about archeology and participate in an archaeological dig! This project includes four lessons: Artifact Brainstorming, Artifact & Motif Design, Computer-Aided Design & 3D Printing, and Archaeological Dig. This project was developed in partnership with Dremel and takes approximately four hours to complete.
Standards: This project aligns to Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for third grade through fifth grade and Florida CPALMS Standards for fifth grade.
